Reinterpreting the shoe's high-performance features with updated materials and components, this model is the first version to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. This passing of the torch revives the legendary values of the franchise, as well as marking a development in performance evolution. Mimicking the original midsole construction with GEL technology cushioning, this shoe improves the fit of the upper while retaining the leather and mesh layering structure from 2008. In addition, the sockliner is produced with a solution dyeing process that reduces water consumption by 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45%.
